You may say, “I don’t feel like I have everything,” but the bible says that you do, you have it all! You have all the faith, all the joy, the peace, the holiness, the righteousness, and the power that you will ever need to live this life of faith. You see, when you made the decision to commit your life to God and declared Jesus to be your Savior, He came to live inside of you. When He took up residence in your spirit He did some serious remolding. He took that old man, that old spirit, and made it new. He didn’t just clean it up- He rebuilt it!! Now your spirit man, the REAL you, is exactly like Jesus – ya that’s right- you are exactly like Jesus on the inside. Here is what the bible says in 1 John 5:17, "Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is so are we in this world." Did you read that? That verse says that as Jesus is right now in heaven, with all the glory and power residing in Him, that we are the same way here on the earth. That is exciting - you do not have to look any further for God's power than in your inner man! You have everything you will ever need right on the inside of you! In fact, do you need healing in your body? It’s in there! Do you need a financial miracle? It’s in there! Do you need peace? It’s in there! What Jesus did on the cross is so complete that when He took up residence in your heart He brought all of heaven's resources with Him.

There is a verse in the bible in the book of Ephesians chapter 3, verse 20 that says, "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us." God is able to do exceedingly and abundantly, we all know and believe that, but it is according to the power that is working in us. The power that this verse is talking about is the power that was deposited in you when you committed your life to Jesus. Remember, you are just like Jesus on the inside- you have all the power you will need to live a victorious life. Our life as a Christian is not about living a holy life, free from sin. That’s good and should be a natural response to our love for God, but that should not be the goal of the Christian life. The goal of the Christian life should be to understand who God is and what Jesus did on the inside of us with such clarity that we walk in a power that is exactly like the power that Jesus walked in when He was on this earth with blood in His veins. He healed the sick, cleansed the leaper, calmed the sea, and cast out demons. His words carried such life that people loved to be around Him, particularly sinners.
